v0.29.0

New Feature: Reality Blending & Reality Blend Modes

We have removed the old desk passthrough window in favor of what we're calling "reality blending", which seamlessly combines mixed reality and immersive content to let you see your desk surface in real life while being immersed in a beautiful virtual space. You can change the shape of the passthrough region via "reality blend modes". Currently there are two.

You can activate reality blending by clicking the passthrough button on the dock, which cycles between fully immersive, blend, and full passthrough. The settings for passthrough and reality blending now live in a new section in the settings app. You can adjust the passthrough area's shape and size there.

Auto-Hide URL Bar

We've consolidated the functionality of the fullscreen window by hiding the URL bar when it's not actively being hovered. You can now quickly show the url bar by moving your cursor above any fullscreen window and it will automatically disappear when you move your cursor away. You can turn this mode on/of for any window via the window settings menu.

  • New Nook Environment for sale!

  • The person who has been in the room longest (Host) can change the room environment for everyone in the room. If the host switches to Nook, everyone switches to it regardless if they own it or not.

  • Added new UI sounds and added a "Sound" section to the menu to control their level

v0.25.6: The Omnibox Update!

Omnibox

We have replaced the Dock with the Omnibox, your control center for Fluid.

Dimmable Passthrough and VR

Use the brightness slider in the Omnibox Toolbar to dim your environment for more immersive video viewing.

New and Improved Skybox Generation Model with "Advanced" Tab

We increased the resolution and quality of generated skyboxes. This is a huge improvement over the previous model. In the Advanced tab, you can choose different styles and turn on/off prompt enhancement (which adds extra description to short prompts so they look better.)

New and Improved Settings App

We made the Settings App more visually consistent with the rest of the app and added a useful Help/Info section.

Virtual Keyboard Improvements

We have completely restyled the virtual keyboard and given it some useful functionality for quick access to Omnibox, copy, paste, and more.

Direct Touch

Windows and the Omnibox accept input from your index fingers. You can also grab windows by their move bar to position them.

Window angle adjustment

When moving a window, hold the "Shift" key on keyboard or click and hold the thumbstick to put the window into a mode where you can adjust the angle.

Other New Features

  • System Notifications: Pop-up that tells you important info, such as when window limit is reached or input mode switched.

  • Shift + arrow keys advances text selection forward/back @Nima

  • Added hover tooltips to some Omnibox buttons.

  • Omnibox keyboard shortcuts: show/hide (Alt + Space), switch tab (Alt + Right/Left)

  • Passthrough, brightness, volume, etc now save between sessions (there may be bugs with this, please let us know.)

  • Made it harder to accidentally switch to hands mode while typing on bluetooth keyboard.

  • LOFI premium environment can now be purchased (if you didn't already unlock it during the secret code period.) We also go though reviews and social media posts and give out unlock codes from time to time. This environment will get some love from our artist soon to fix the lamp being in the way and chair in wrong position.

  • Made it harder for your hands to activate and grab windows when typing on a hardware keyboard. @MPRachel

  • Added sliders for individual player volumes in multiplayer rooms.

  • Rotating windows (grab button + thumbstick down OR move window + shift) now works after teleporting

Known Bugs (fixes coming soon)

  • Omnibox drag sometimes breaks so you can't reorder or delete apps. Switch to a different Omnibox tab and then back to the App Drawer to fix.

  • Re-opening omnibox that was previously moved far away makes it really big. Just move it to reset back to normal size.
