Dock

Your control center for Fluid.

Last updated 3 months ago

The dock allows you to launch apps, switch between Spaces, join Roomsand change Environments and Skyboxes. It's similar to the Taskbar in Windows or the Dock in MacOS, acting as a hub for all Features.

Applications

The App drawer let's you pin any website as an app, which will open in Fullscreen when you press on it. These icons can be customized at will, excluding the first few, which respond to core fluid functions.

How can I add an app?

There are currently two ways to do this.

  1. Press on the plus button and type in the URL.

  2. Open to the 3 dots menu in the window chrome and click on "Add to dock".

How can I remove an app?

Click and drag the app to the plus button, which becomes an x when you're dragging an app. This will delete the app from the Omnibox.

How do I move an app to a different place?

Click and drag the app to the place where you want it. Let go to place it.

Spaces helps you organize and save groups of windows. When you switch from a space, your windows remain as you left them, enabling easy resumption later. You can set a window configuration as the "default" for a space and return to this setup

Rooms lets you join your friends, classmates, colleagues or basically anyone within Fluid, letting you talk to them using voice chat and allowing you to access a Shared Browser Window with them.

Fluid comes with a selection of immersive environments for you to work in, designed by our amazing art team. Each environment conveys a different feeling and serves a different purpose.
